Add to your wardrobe these simple yet most gorgeous traditional handloom ikat cotton sarees from the weavers of Nuapatana in Odisha also popularly known as Kargil Kumbha sarees. The design was conceived during the Kargil War by the weavers as a dedication to all the soldiers serving the country. The usual small temple or kumbha borders were designed to look like huge mountain peaks and the pallu was incorporated with the chakra or the wheel of the famous Konark temple. Weaved with plain body & border ikat in black & Pallu in the black base with chakra ikat in white & maroon, these sarees exuberate the earthiness and the local traditions and culture of the weaving community. When you own this, you own a neevi created in honour of all our soldiers, a real tribute to the defence community.
